Social Justice Sherpa” – Belonging before anything else.
There are lots of organizations right now lamenting their “diversity problem” and blaming their failure to recruit and retain talented individuals who represent a variety of cultures and perspectives on a “pipeline problem.” I can help you find the structural and/or institutional barriers that might be preventing diverse talent from finding and joining your organization and what steps you can take to not just clear those barriers but also to create a values-driven, inclusive, generative environment that allows the best version of inclusivity to take hold and thrive.

WHERE ARE WE NOW AND WHERE DO WE NEED TO GO?

My personal mission is to create/amplify environments

Where marginalized and/or disenfranchised people can heal, thrive, and lead in ways that are equitable, anti-racist, and trajectory-altering. I am constantly on the lookout for new and creative ways to accelerate opportunities for Black, Brown, and LGBTQ2S+ persons. I am especially good at assessing systems and identifying sustainable pathways that support and encourage inclusion and belonging.

Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion are my end goals.

Long before we lived in a culture of “white text on black backgrounds” – I was getting my doctorate in Educational Policy; studying organizational health and creating opportunities for individuals to work productively across initiatives; navigating complex interpersonal relationships, and channeling their authentic selves to accelerate personal and professional growth

Throughout my career, I have held positions that required high performance for all the above functions

have proven myself to be not only capable and competent but also to be a master team builder; an empathetic, committed team member; and an exceptional, flexible visionary with a knack for identifying and mitigating high-risk scenarios.

In business and in life, I untangle complexities, marshal resources, and chart paths toward optimal next steps. I cultivate and learn from communities that provide reciprocal support, accountability, and care; I curate learning and development experiences, and I pull from my personal networks to help leaders, teams, and organizations achieve their intentions. I center my team, stakeholders, and end-users at the heart of my work and priorities. I refuse to sacrifice people in pursuit of outcomes. Instead, I am intentional about fostering a resilient team culture, prioritizing work-life integration, listening, and adapting, and ensuring that my organization is a great place to work. I know that without people there no movement regardless of the mission.
